Systems Engineer (SE) support shall provide system design, engineering and operational support to Enclave infrastructure management services, virtualization and DevOps services, platform baseline management, to include server operating systems, Infrastructure projects in support of Tenant requirements, upkeep of infrastructure documentation, system schematics and platform operations guide, and actively plan and implement customer’s continuous evaluation requirements. SE shall design, evaluate, recommend, install, test and maintain all aspects of systems virtualization to include custom host profiles and hardened VM templates. SE shall troubleshoot and isolate server hardware problems and equipment outages in a timely manner using hardware and software support tools. SE shall follow policies set forth by Sponsor’s Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery regulations and institute periodic Continuity of Operations exercises for Sponsor’s Enclave at a recurring interval. SE shall be required to manage and track their tasks utilizing the Sponsor’s established Agile methodology.

Required Skills:

  • Active TS/SCI with Full Poly is required
  • Demonstrated experience with the Agile framework and full life-cycle software development
  • Demonstrated experience with Domain Controllers, DNS, DHCP, and Firewalls
  • Demonstrated experience with UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems
  • Experience with audit and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Icinga2, Nagios
  • Experience with virtual environment management platforms to include Citrix and Hyper-V
  • Familiarity with scripting tools and concepts including Powershell, Stash, Ansible
  • Demonstrated understanding of networking and core Internet Protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP and routing in distributed networks
  • Demonstrated experience engineering solutions for Citrix XenApp and Secure Browser
  • Demonstrated experience with systems health monitoring to include identification of resource (CPU, Memory, Network, and Storage) bottlenecks and developing remediation to address root cause for both Windows and Linux systems
  • Hands on experience with storage appliance configuration, planning and maintenance
  • Demonstrated knowledge with agile/scrum
  • PMP Certified
  • Demonstrated knowledge of leading technical teams
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment while handling competing priorities
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of MS Project, Jira, MS PowerPoint, Excel, and MS Word
  • Demonstrated experience with supporting the PM in resource planning, analysis, preparation of management plans and reports
  • Demonstrated experience assisting the PM with assessing, documenting and tracing new program requirements and follow-on technical exchange meetings (TEMS)
  • Demonstrated experience providing strategic support to applications with multiple system interfaces
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of JIRA or Agilecraft or story tracking tool, Grooming backlog
  • Demonstrated understanding of Section 508 compliance
  • Demonstrated experience implementing, maintaining, and working in open source and community supported applications
